We spent our Saturday in Stroud at Mema’s house. Mema is Chase’s grandma, his mom’s mom. Chase spent the day duck hunting and fishing. I spent the day resting.
I do my best napping at Mema’s house. When I’m not napping, I get caught up on reading. I know I’m a little late to the party, but I downloaded the Divergent series on Thursday night. I’ve finished the first book and half way through the second. What a series!
Mema’s house is a revolving door of family and friends on the weekends. I think it’s partially due to the fact that Mema ALWAYS has something good to eat. I’ve never had a bad meal in her kitchen. When we visit, I try to always contribute something.
This weekend, I brought my peanut butter chocolate chip bars. The reason was completely selfish. I CRAVE these bars, but I try to only make them when we’ll be sharing with others. I will seriously eat half the pan.
Sunday was a crazy day. As soon as we arrived back in Norman, I laced up my running shoes to clear my head. There’s nothing that makes me feel better than a good sweat. My run ended at our neighborhood lake and I stayed until the sun set.
Perfect way to end my weekend.

WHY DON’T YOU MAKE THE PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP BARS; BRING THEM TO CHELSEA FOR A ‘TASTE-TEST’ FROM ‘THE GREATEST GENERATION’……
Mary Jane and I toured the grocery stores Thurs. night after attending the JM Davis Fundraiser with the ‘movie night’ being “True Grit’; the original John Wayne/Robert Duvall!!! awesome (again!). Warehouse Market nor Reasor’s had spaghetti squash or kale, but your determined Grandma went back the next day when the delivery was made! That was my after-church meal and very good. I like kale cooked, chipped, or raw…..am waiting on that healthy feeling.
Keep it up, Little Balloon girl!
