My weekend consisted of 1 anniversary, 1 birthday, 1 wedding shower, 2 baby showers, and 2 yoga classes to teach. Whew! That was exhausting just to type.
Friday, June 6, was our 5th wedding anniversary. I cannot believe it’s been 5 years. Time really does fly. Because our birthdays and anniversary are all within a few weeks of each other, we spent a low key evening at our favorite dinner spot, Benvenuti’s. On June 6, 2009, we were in Ruidoso, New Mexico, getting married at the Inn of the Mountain Gods. We were married with the mountains behind us and our friends and family surrounding us. Here are a few of my favorites from my favorite day:
Saturday began bright and early. Chase left with the sun to go New Mexico, and I did a quick 4 mile run before teaching my 9:15 yoga class. I knew I would be spending most of the day on the road, so a run was just what I needed.
My little cousin, Katy, is getting married in a couple of weeks so Saturday was spent showering her with blenders, toasters, and towels. She’s the cutest.
Side note – I’m making her wedding cake in 2 weeks. We’ll talk details later.
Sunday, oh Sunday. I helped host a baby shower for our dear friend Paige Lepak. Paige and Bobby are having a sweet baby girl due in August.
I made the cake for this shower – ruffles and sugar flowers, the epitome of a baby ballerina.
I’ll post a ruffle cake tutorial soon. So easy!
I did have to miss one shower this weekend. Sorry Tonya! 🙁 I was there in spirit. Tonya and her husband Bo are expecting a little boy very soon. Love you, friend!
It was a weekend full of celebrations! I only wish I had more time to make it to every event. These people are all so special to me and I’m so blessed I get to share these moments with them. Next up, a wedding and 2 babies!
