These days I’m still spending a lot of time working on the kitchen. If you ever wish you had a larger kitchen, sand and paint your cabinets. You will be grateful for your shoebox sized space.
I feel like my kitchen is growing. As soon as I think I’m finished, something else pops up that needs to be sanded and painted. I keep crossing my fingers that soon will come a day that cabinets sand themselves.
We got our new faucet and garbage disposal installed! I ended up going with a pull-down, spring-spout faucet. It makes me feel like a chef.
But while the plumber was installing everything, a pipe broke in the wall…
A simple 30 minute job turned into a 4 hour ordeal.
While the plumber was cutting out the sheetrock, he cut through my bedroom wall, in 2 places. Neat!
I realize this situation could’ve been MUCH worse, it’s just one more thing to add to the list of repairs. I know the remodeling to-do list will end someday. Right???
I never shared a final picture of our counter-tops! How could you let me forget?!
Before.
After.
Much better. Now on to the backsplash!
We had plans to work on the backsplash this weekend, but The Carnivore has been working like a mad man lately. He actually just got home this morning. He worked from 7:00 a.m. Thursday through 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Straight. He slept in his truck, brushed his teeth at a local restaurant, and bathed in the river. Ok, the last one didn’t happen but it would make the story more interesting.
Anyway, he’s worn out. I’ll give him a pass the rest of the day. In the meantime I’ve baked him mini-apple crumbles. Recipe coming soon!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
