I’ve been feeling unusually spicy lately.
Maybe it’s the change in weather, maybe it’s my increased intake of Starbucks; I don’t know, but I’m loving it! And it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. My life is currently scheduled minute by minute, so spicy is just fine with me!
All areas of my life have been impacted by this new jolt of energy. I feel like the way I’ve been teaching has changed, my workouts have changed, the to-do list for my husband has grown exponentially, and my yoga practice has changed drastically! Like really. Drastically. Maybe I’m the only one that’s noticed, but my yoga feels better than it has in a long time.
Usually I love slow, stretchy yoga classes to recover from my other workouts. Not recently! The hotter the better, and bring on the vinyasas! Case in point – I did Ashtanga to Nicki Minaj today. Is anyone else feeling like this?
The classes I teach have been turned up a notch as well. They’ve been a little faster paced, a bit more creative, and my music has been exceptionally great (if I do say so myself). Here’s the playlist I’ve been using in my classes this week. I can’t get enough of it!
